Ingenico announced that Coles, Australia’s leading retailer, has selected Ingenico to renew its fleet of Payment terminals, after a pilot phase that started in September 2011.

The enhanced functionality of the iPP350 includes integrated contactless capability and Coles is the first major retailer in Australia to offer this convenient payment option to its customers.

The Coles division was formed in November 2007 as a result of the acquisition of the Coles Group by Wesfarmers. The division is one of Australia’s leading retail organisations with brands including Coles Supermarkets, Liquorland, Vintage Cellars, 1st Choice Liquor Superstores and Coles Express. It is also providing payment services to other Wesfarmers business such as Kmart, Officeworks and Target.

All business groups will deploy the new iPP350 across the 24,000 lanes in the next few months.

Ingenico’s iPP350 is a compact ergonomic payment terminal with a colour-screen for high visual impact, specifically designed for the retail market. It integrates an embedded contactless reader, simplified maintenance, universal connectivity and complies with all statutory and regulatory requirements delivering fast and secure transactions.
