NBS Technologies announced the appointment of Francois Maurel as General Manager, NBS Technologies SAS France. In his new role, Maurel will be responsible for providing leadership and growth of NBS’ smart card manufacturing and wafer handling/packing product portfolio while supporting NBS’ relationships with its major account partners around the globe.

Maurel first joined NBS in 2005 as Key Accounts Manager and has taken on increasing levels of responsibility with his most recent position being Director of Sales, Global Key Accounts. Maurel’s pre-NBS experience includes key roles with Gemplus - Director of Technical Pre-Sales Support (North America), Advanced Personalization Center Business Development Manager both based in the U.S., and Manager of Software Personalization based in France – as well as positions within Samsung Semiconductor including Key Accounts Manager & Technical Marketing Manager.

Maurel is an Engineering graduate of ISEN (Electronic Engineering School) and holds an MBA from IAE Aix en Provence.

Maurel assumes his new role immediately, and will continue to operate out of our Rousset, France office.
